This week's move in AI building. Three lines, then a short drill.

Ask for a short plan, then build it

First ask: a five-step plan, no code. Keep or cut a step. The second ask builds only what you kept. Planning in the same breath as building grows a hidden extra.

Write one check before you call it done

Name one thing the page must do, in a sentence a stranger could test. Run that check yourself. Ask the model to fix only what failed. One check beats a long praise of how it looks.

Start from a page that already runs

Open a kit or a public ship and change one job it does. A blank page spends the first minutes on chrome you did not need. Remix keeps the shell. You spend the drill on the change.

Put the file that matters first

The error, the brief, or the last good page goes at the top. Long chat is the first thing a model drops when the window fills. What you need kept has to be in the words you send now.

Change one thing, then run it

Ask for one change. Watch the page. Ask again. Five asks at once hide which line broke the build. The short loop is how most AI-built pages land.

Say who it is for and how it should look

Name the reader and the shape: a one-screen form, a table, a quiet card. Tone and layout belong in the first ask, not a later repair. Leave the shape blank and the model guesses a dashboard.

Write the spec before the first ask

Three lines first: who it is for, what it must do, what it must not do. Paste that block above every build prompt. Edges in the ask make the page cheaper to change.
