About · Martori Studio
Datum is a judgment gym. Building is the training ground.
For anyone who uses AI at work, is not a developer, and wants to get good at it. Make things by asking. Play to sharpen your calls. Keep what you made.

Three doors
- Make
Say what you want, watch it get built, change it by asking. Start from a blank box or from somebody else's page and make it yours.
- Play
The Table: five calls a day about AI at work, staked with how sure you are, the same hand for everyone. Twelve lessons that each end in one real call, and the toys.
- Keep
Your Field Book is encrypted on your device. Your calibration curve is drawn from your own calls and seen by you alone. Your pages on Trace carry where they came from. Export any time.
Why this exists
Course platforms sell completion. Assistants sell fluency. Neither sells the thing that is actually scarce now: a call you can defend to someone who has to trust it. That needs finished work you can explain, a coach whose data movement you can audit, and a record you control.
Datum used to carry a second product inside it, for the weeks after a layoff. That is not what Datum is for, so it is gone. What is left is three doors: Make, Play, and Keep.
What we believe
Building is the training ground.
The skill is judgment: knowing when an AI answer is good enough, when it is wrong, and how to ask for the fix. You get it by making things, not by reading about them.
Evidence beats certificates.
When polish costs nothing, polish means nothing. What replaces a completion PDF is a dated record of the call you made, the revision you made after feedback, and what AI did.
Privacy is structural, not promised.
We cannot read your vault because encryption happens on your device. A promise enforced by math does not depend on anyone staying good.
Pace is architecture.
Nothing here is built to keep you opening the app. A private streak only you can see, with freezes, and nothing sent about it. No public leaderboard of people. Rest never erases what you made.
The person is the customer.
We do not sell your data. Datum Plus adds room to make and play; every lesson and the Table are free on every plan. Nobody pays us for access to you.
Who makes it
Datum is built by Brian Martori at Martori Studio in Nashville, with AI tooling. One person, the tools named on this site, and the people who play it and write in. Reach Brian at hello@martori.studio.
How we work
We ship slowly on purpose. Claims must match the product. If a number, peer, or “AI” label is not backed by real data or a real call, it does not ship. The Table stays free so the product can prove itself before anyone pays for more.
