Compare · workplace copilots

Copilots draft. Datum keeps the call yours.

Assistants won the first round because they were easy to buy. Datum exists for the meeting after the draft: policy, number, send, halt. Fluent text is cheap. A decision another person can inspect is not.

“When answers get cheap, the product that matters is the call you can still refuse.”

The comparison

Workplace copilots compared with Datum
What mattersWorkplace copilotsDatum

OutputA draft you can regenerate tomorrowAn activity brief: chapter, stake, move, and trail
HaltOften missing; speed is the pitchNamed stop before send, overwrite, or side effect

Keep the copilot. Drafting is real work. Datum does not replace the editor. It trains the stop before the irreversible step, then stores an example you wrote. See also courses.

Why the substitutes stall

A copilot compresses time-to-text. It does not compress time-to-accountable-decision. A course compresses time-to-vocabulary. It does not sit in the meeting. Neither one can show the last call you actually made. Those are different jobs, and mixing them is how a tidy draft becomes a liability.

Practice one workplace call

Core is free. An activity brief is not a score. One chapter a week.
